Trouble Installing Twitter Toolbar
If you are having problems installing the Twitter Toolbar for Firefox please try the following. It could have been simply a corrupt download.
- Make sure you are using Firefox: The Twitter Toolbar is designed only for Firefox, and works on versions 1.5 and above. To find your version number, click the Help menu and select About Mozilla Firefox. You can download the latest version of Firefox from the Firefox homepage.
- Make sure it installed Using Firefox follow these steps:
- Click the Tools menu.
- Select Add-ons.
- Look to see if you can find the Twitter Toolbar.
If it is not listed proceed to step 3. If you can find the Twitter Toolbar in the Add-ons list then try:
- Click View.
- Select Toolbars
- Check the Twitter Toolbar
It should be visible at that time. If it is not, please let me know.
- To see if the initial download was corrupt, and try again you need to clear your cache and reinstall:
Using Firefox follow these steps:- Click the Tools menu.
- Select Clear Private Data.
- Make sure the ‘Cache’ checkbox is selected. This is the only one that needs to be checked.
- Click the Clear Private Data Now button.
- Close your browser and reopen it.
- Download and reinstall the latest version of the Toolbar
