Located on Fieldcrest Drive, in San Jose, CA. near Taylor Elementary School. The anemometer (wind meter) is on the roof of house. The nearest tree is on the east about 30 feet away. It's height is about the same. Dominant winds are typical of San Jose, coming mostly from North, North West, so I don't think the tree will be a major factor.
Rain detection is clear of all obstacles, and is on the roof of the house. The thermometer is on north side of fireplace stack 6' from roof in shade. Updated 3/24/2008.
