I don’t recall ever having a martini while signing up with a new web host, but I may have had a few beers setting up a personal one. Pictures help draw a visitors attention, and Velcom.com is putting this theory to the max. Bikini girl and cocktails, the perfect recipe for getting some tech geek guys attention.

Velcom offers cheap web hosting service, and in their words, offer cheap VPS hosting.

Sale on Dedicated Servers

Velcom has some pretty good prices for all their services, and $49 for a dedicated server (as seen in screenshot) is nothing to sneeze at either. Their dedicated servers are all Pentium 4 machines, have 1 GB RAM, and allow 500 GB of bandwidth. Their hard drives varied from 80 GB to 120 GB, but SATA’s are already sold out.

Their Virtual Private Servers appeared a little pricey, but offer up to 100 GB of bandwidth. That is about double the average VPS hosting plan, so you could run a site with a lot of images or downloading going on, and have a good deal going.

Will They Be Here Tomorrow?

Something I always consider before getting a host is their trust factor. Will they be there tomorrow, or will I wake up to find my site down. Doing some quick research on Velcom, I found they are a small Canada based company, they currently average about 10,000 visitors a month ( a good confidence builder there), has a toll free number, live chat, and offers 24/7/365 service. Professionally designed site makes a good indicator that they are serious as well.

It looks to me like Velcom will have no problem selling out on their dedicated server space, and if you like those cheap virtual hosting plans you can get those as well. They cost just $1.95 a month.

Looking for a new host? You might want to try Velcom. Let us know if you do by commenting below. I would love to see some feedback about them here.

Interesting, but service are you getting? I know I am a geek, but unlimited web host really helped me find the web hosting service I needed. It is top quality, dependable, and affordable. They take customer service very seriously – I received a phone call welcoming me to the service.
