Vikinghammer Tweet, A Bloggers Dream

If you use WordPress for you blog, and are looking for a way to really make your Twitter feed alive then you need the add-on Vikinghammer Tweet. I just installed this, and am completely jazzed on what it can do. I was also happy to find it because if I didn’t, I was going to have to build it myself. What does it do? It tweets your blog posts (already been done I know), and it tweets comments made on your blog (this is the good stuff).
Tweeting Visitor Comments
What I wanted, and the reason I added VH, was for the ability to submit tweets to my Twitter account every time someone commented on my blog. I was searching for new ways to encourage readers to comment, and I think this could be a good one. Readers that comment expect and want certain things. They often want recognition for their comment by means of link to their own personal site or an added credibility. They expect others to actually read those comments.
By publicly announcing a comment made on my blog on my Twitter feed (my new Twitter account just for BWI: @fftoolbar), the comment maker now gets a little of both of what they expected by increasing the visibility of that particular post.
A pretty cool tool, and with only 51 downloads from WordPress so far, an easy way for you to get the head start on other bloggers that will be doing the same.

Monkeyboy says what? Just testing your plugin.
Thanks for testing. It looks like it worked…Not my actual plugin though. Wish it was!
