Completely unfair. I am glad I was born when I was, but unfortunately it was about 15-20 years to late to be a video game tester. I came across this blog reviewing site on a webmaster forum, and was thinking, wouldn’t that be a dream job. According to the site I would qualify, game tester requirements, but I think it might be a little late in the game to start. I’m forty-one now, and I think the gaming guys start getting old around twenty-seven. I am also thinking the testing for StarCraft is long over. I still play that game.
If you are interested in becoming a game tester, the video game tester blog did have some tips on how to go about it, and also had information about realistic goals in the field. You don’t just start playing video games and earn money. You actually have to work. Acording to the blog though, you can make as much as $1,700 a week. Not bad!

video games…
Anyone remember when finding quality info about video games was easy? thank goodness for Videogames Preparing Kids For Apocalypse at DaveZdyrko.com, it made my Thursday…
Why don’t you try it? It’s not all about the age. .I mean if you think you can do it then why not give it a try.
Nice Article Robert. Goodluck.
nice work mate!
I have tried to leave a response on this blog but every time I submit the form refreshes the screen or provides an error. Can the author possibly check into why it keeps messing up?
What is actually better a Playstation 3 slim or perhaps, Xbox or even Computer whenever participating in video games?
what could be more fun for a job than playing and testing video games – i think it would be one of those jobs where you do it for fun as opposed for money – see test the game before it comes to the market and to see it released and doing well would be a buzz – not many jobs out there offer that!
Now a days, i think the game studios don’t look at age so much, they look at attitude.
If you can get an interview and you know just as much about the company’s games as the interviewer does, there is a very good chance you will get the job.
Just my opinion.
Good luck
and thanks for sharing, great post
