My writing stinks you say. Eh…you may be right. I check my spelling, and try to make sure everything is correct. Still though, I know I need help.
Good news for me? It looks like I just found some help, and have even put this post to the test. It’s the Document Readability Test. The test reveals the number of characters, sentences, and reading comprehension level. The results also show ways to improve readability of text, and lists the most offending sentences.
The site additionally has a few other scripts that you can run. It’s kind of a strange collection. It has a cost of living calculator, and even a few webmaster tools. Unique little site, but I like it. We will have to wait and see if it helps my writing out at all.
Now adding to my webmaster tools archive.

A very useful tool for webmasters I must say, thanks for the tip.
Hmm, this could come in very handy when writing letters to clients and people you want to impress. I’d like to think most of my writings are readable enough but I occasionally look at older stuff I wrote and find areas it could’ve been better.
Thanks,
Jean
Great tool. I did use it and it is really handy and also aids in writing.
I like “The Readability Test Tool” http://ww.read-able.com
- has a straightforward and easy to understand results page
I don’t think my jargon-heavy 3DTV site will do well on this test.
