In the middle of February I started a new page on the site, Popular Posts. It lists the top blog posts and pages found on this site based on the number of unique visitors. Since I plan on hitting the reset button in a few minutes I thought I would share some of the the top/my favorite posts for the period. You can always find what the top posts are for the current month by looking under Archives in the left menu.
Popular Blog Posts for March
- Site Feedback for Twoxit – Many of my site feedback posts draw a lot of visitors, but I haven’t been getting enough comments on them, so I have been thinking of not doing this anymore. This particular one failed to get comments as well, but I believe it is getting a lot of visitors because I get a lot of Twitter traffic due to my Twitter Toolbar. Twoxit is a Twitter widget site.
- Poll – Tweets on Your Website or Blog – A simple poll to see if Twitter users are posting their tweets made on their website or blog. More of those Twitter fans…
- Affiliate Programs – In deciding on how to run an affiliate program, I found one pretty good candidate, OSI Affiliate. I still haven’t set one up yet though!
- Tweet Backs Gone – I tried using Tweet Backs on my site. Did nothing for me, or my visitors. I killed it off, and wrote about it.
- Rotating Images – A simple example on how to have an image change randomly using PHP.
- Digital Point Forum Down – This post is kind of funny. When I made it, the forum had been down all day, longer than normal, so I thought semi-newsworthy. The thing is, Digital Point goes down a lot, and when it does this post gets hits.
- Why Meta Tags are Essential – The value, and a sample how to of meta tags. Meta tags, if done properly, can actually improve your sales.
The top content on the entire site was my Twitter Toolbar. The toolbar averages over 50 downloads a day, and has one of the highest tweets per user compared to other clients.
