  1. Where are all my feedback friends? I guess I will make the first comment. Very narrow. Open up your site a little, and know that most people have monitors that are 1024 wide or greater.

  2. Duly noted and thanks for the feedback. I agree that expanding the width would be a helpful design change.

  3. Manz says:

I didn’t think it was that narrow… but then I remember when most sites kept to a width of 400 pixels or less. OK… just checked it again with another site open next to it – and it is narrow.

I would like to see some roll over states for the navigation. And an “active” state would be good to hightlight what area you’re in.

  4. Manz – Thanks for taking a look and for the feedback. Width is my #1 focus area and will be fixed with the next re-design.

For the area that you are in, I currently use the ‘breadcrumbs’ concept. For example, if you click on a review on a CPU cooler you will see near the top of the page “Home -> Cases/Coolers” to show you that you are in the Cases/Coolers area of the site.

Not sure if that is best way to do it, but I agree that it could be shown more clearly to the user by highlighting the area in the top-nav bar.

Good feedback – keep ‘em coming!!!

  5. Manz says:

I noticed the breadcrumbs, but I think you should use both devices.

Breadcrumbs are great – especially when you’ve drilled down a number of times. But I think that they can also blend in with content… I’d probably try a black button as an “active area” state.

    Just my views :)

  6. tip says:

nice site, very informative, well designed, easy to use … what can i say ? i love it…

  7. visit says:

I just want you to know that I think you did a terrific job on this websight.

  8. Hi everyone –

Thanks all for the feedback. Just wanted to let you know that I have gone ahead with making the #1 design change requested – changing the width. It is now a full screen width, and should fill your screen without having to scroll left/right horizontally.

Hope that everyone likes the changes – please let me know if you have any other comments or feedback!
