Well it is not Friday, the day I usually make a Site Feedback post, but I had a special request to get this site reviewed by you, my loyal readers. I agreed because you will see why. It needs some help.
Hydroponics 
, though you would not guess by looking at their home page, is a huge hydroponic information site. There is information on how to build your own hydroponic setup, FAQ’s about the pros/cons, and literally thousands of pictures. They also have a place for members to show off their projects, an online store, and a fairly comprehensive glossary. This site could be a leader for the hydroponic niche, but they need some massive clean up.
If you look throughout their site you will several formating issues, but that is not really my main concern. My concern is looking at the home page. It’s has to have a high bounce, and I think the site owner is seriously missing out on some quality traffic.
Anyone have any ideas on how they should change the home page to help draw in visitors?

Hi,
On first impressions i would bounce right on out of there, why? the template theme coulers are just to dark for me and it looks cheap. And its just a splash page full of links and ads, no content.
Where is all the interactivity for visitors, the main forum link is at the foot of the page, not good.
Being a niche site will get people interested in that subject and they will click through i suppose.
Personally i would go back to my search results and try again.
That was my first impression, and it really is too bad because if you are into that kind of stuff, there is tons of info to be found on that site. You could almost blame it for being an old site, but even then it needs some work.
Yeh i get the picture, with this established site i bet you and i could turn it around and realy work that traffic, perhaps the site owner is just to busy to do it justice,
I would consider making the owner an offer to take over. What do you think,
I don’t know. If it were me, I would want to buy a site that I didn’t have to completely redo. Maybe if they sell low, and have some traffic.
Yes i would like to see some stats before i committed myself, The forum traffic is a golden opportunity depending on the size,i can think of all kinds of products i could advertise more effectively, god its old fashioned.
