  1. Here is a quick 2 second review to get things started. When I think of solar power, I think either bright sun, or green. That said, the black background is not working for me.

  2. That’s actually not the first time we’ve heard that comment, and we’ve considered changing the color scheme. The reason behind the black is more philosophical than design-black backgrounds use less power than white ones on the user screen.
The amount of power involved is very small, and our hosting is carbon-offset, so maybe white would be a better choice.

  3. I believe I have made a comment on your site, holysolar.com; so I look forward to your reply.

  4. I would center the website to the screen. The left justified seems “old school”. Reminds me of the websites in the 90′s.

I also agree with what Robert said about the black background.

I think it has great content and I look forward to reading more and seeing the website develop.

  5. That’s a great point about screen centering, Damon. I’ll be going through the theme and reworking it later today, so check back and see how the changes work out.

Glad you like the content…that’s what it’s all about. We have plans to expand Holy Solar so we may play a greater role in the transition to renewable power.

We’ll be adding a free e-book soon covering all the basics of photovoltaic solar installation and other forms of “second-stage” solar like biofuels and wind.

  6. First impression was it was some kind of biblical site. I’d change the font unless that’s the impression you want to give.

Too much use of random clip art in the banner makes a site look too amateurish, keep it clean and simple. That banner is sooo 1990′s.

Actually everything below the banner is good. Prefer a white background though, and centered as suggested previously.
