I’m not an expert in this area so take this with a grain of salt.
I love the gray and contrasting neon colors on the sight. I would not have normally picked that, but it works well.
I may be the only one, but for the first 15 seconds after I opened this, I couldn’t tell what this site is about. I think a tag line would be helpful.
The green neon buttons on the left are faded on the bottom text so I have to work harder to see what they say.
The colour scheme is fantastic, its not a colour combination I would have chosen but I like the way the owner of this site combine and make the colour scheme work.
Slick design.
Great colour palette – very NOW and modern – and therefore completely appropriate for the site and contents that it represents.
I like the humor in the naming of the navigation buttons – “Resorces * Steal this” is hilarious.
There is alot on the home page, so I can relate to what Carla had to say about understanding what the site was for within the first moments of your first visit.
The welcome into clears that up quickly, but maybe some other graphics could help emphasise the “electronic music” theme – I think the pic with the welcome is effective in that it’s weird and unusual so it grabs your interest… but I’m not sure the cropping of this works. It’s a better image when show in it’s full.
