Security Updates for Microsoft Internet Explorer

My next door neighbor is one of those super IT tech guys, and told me I should post this to quickly help spread the word. He works for ZAG Technical Services, one of Silicon Valley’s leading IT companies.
Critical IE Security Vulnerability
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, NOW is an important time to update. Several critical vulnerabilities were found that could allow remote execution if a user views a specially crafted webpage using Internet Explorer.
To do this, simply open Internet Explorer, click on Tools in the menu, and then click on Windows Update. IE -> Tools -> Windows Update

this is great protection for all windows user
Very useful tip for Windows users. I will try to implement in my PC.
Always update when security updates come out. Always. Even when using my Mac.
Is there any way to set this to update automatically? I’m still skeptical about using IE as I’ve had so many attacks with it. Still, some sites just don’t work properly in other browsers so I’m forced to use IE there.

Very easy. Just right click on My Computer, click the Automatic Update tab, and set it up how you like there.

I’m fed up with Internet Explorer. I have Firefox and Chrome installed, but always seem to default to IE, even though it’s an annoyingly slow, bug-ridden browser which seems to require constant patching!

I have used Firefox for a long time now. I love it. IE will always have an in though, because it has ready access to is own operating system. Doing things like accessing a Microsoft exchange server to check your email online will always be better using IE.
