It is easy to add site to directory and it may help get you traffic to your website. You should submit your site to some directories to help get you backlinks. Just remember to change up the wording to avoid duplicate content issues.
It is easy, and besides changing the wording, I also like to change the link to other pages. Nice to have PR on other pages besides just the home page.
