I was visiting my buddy Temi’s hosting site, UK cPanel Web Hosting, and saw the simple little thing in their logo that made me jealous, cPanel web hosting. It’s not that cPanel is the world’s greatest platform for a server control panel, but it surely crushes my hosting company, He.net. He.net is great, but there are just some things they stink at. The big one is their control panel.

Who Cares About cPanel?

Who cares about cPanel? You do, and the hosting companies do. Cpanel is great because questions are answered before they go to tech support. Most every thing is fairly self explanatory, and with just a little bit of web experience most things can be figured out. That’s good for you, and it’s good for the hosting company. You don’t want to call, and they don’t want to answer.

Editing DNS? I had to yesterday, and this is what made me a little jealous. With cPanel you get instructions, and a simple box to input the data. My hosting company? Well here is a screenshot of that.

All I can say abou this, is if you don’t know what you are doing, good luck with that. Hello, not all webmasters are IT guys or gals. Anyhow, when picking out your hosting company make sure you do a little research before you go with the cheap guy, or the first one you heard of. Have a criteria, and go with that. iHosting has cPanel:)
