Is their malicious software on your site? Here is a quick little check you can do using Google. I’ll use my site as an example link, and when you want to do your own site just replace the domain name in the link: http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=bestwebimage.com
I Got Hacked!
There are all sorts of hackers out their, and even more robots doing the hacks. I always try to keep a careful eye on what’s going on with my sites, and one of the ways I found out about a problem site was with this diagnostic tool. I was running an old WordPress version and hackers figured out to hack the application. Upon doing a routine visit to the site, I got the Google warning saying my site has malicious software running on it. Needless to say, my site was not the only victim. I also upgraded the software, and got rid of the crap. It was basically some link hijacking.
Firefox and Google
If you use Firefox, Google now has a beta version of their toolbar that includes this check. Google Safe Browsing Toolbar. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see any warnings on this site. I just checked.
