Those of you that use Google Webmaster Tools, good news! They are now graphing top search queries, revealing clickthrough ratios.

Looking at my old road rage site, MonkeyMeter.com, I found my best keyword was really “road terms”, and not road rage, though I get more hits for road rage type searches. When Google users search road terms, 7 out of 10 of them will visit my site. That’s a number I like to see.

Just another great service provided by Google. If you are new or don’t use Webmaster Tools, here is the link: Google Webmaster Tools.

Note: I was checking the graphs on a few of the sites I have being tracked by Google, and all of them go back to March 15th of this year.

  1. Yes indeed that is a huge improvement. I needed to get used to it but after a short introduction I found it very helpful.

  2. They may as well just merge it with Google analytics and be done with it.

  3. That’s what I hope they’ll do, put webmaster tools and analytics together… and they are already kind of doing it.

Still though, its kind of scary just how much information we are getting nowadays, honestly at this point I feel like we are getting gold, perhaps way too much information, hehe. Not sure how I feel about it all to be honest….

  5. I am not quite sure about it. I liked how they did it before but I guess I have to deal with it. It looks easier and this is what counts.

  7. I think that this is pretty annoying! Google Webmasters no longer tells me my average ranking positions. This made me upset. Though, the impressions thing is useful as well. I just wish that they had left both.

  8. Google webmaster tools have been adding a lot of new information lately. All of it which are absolutely great. Loving the search queries results!

  9. cool, this looks just like the google analytics

  10. Is that info in Google Analytics too? It’s been a while since I’ve used G’s webmaster tools… there didn’t seem a lot of point, but perhaps I need to reconsider that… thanks for the tip…
