First, may I say, getting subscribers is not easy. It takes work, regardless if you are managing a blog or not. If you are running a blog, a subscriber count could be the easiest thing to improve though.
When it comes to numbers for this site, I have three major goals that I try to accomplish. I try to get more unique visitors, I look for ways to keep them engaged longer (more pageviews per session), and I try to get more subscribers. I have the goals broken down in easy steps that I believe I can accomplish, and try to keep the three in sync.
I Did It!
So this morning I awoke to find the pleasant surprise of breaking 400 RSS subscribers. No doubt on Saturday, it will drop down again.
The Easiest Goal
For my three main goals I have broken them down into five easy steps. I have already accomplished the first two steps for all three, and have now just finished one of my goals for the third step, hitting 400 subscribers. Something I have noticed while looking at my notes? Getting subscribers has been the easiest.
With a blog, a bigger challenge is getting more pageviews per user session. I doubled my RSS count since last goal, but am only trying to increase my pages per session by 7% for the same step. Note to self…I still need to accomplish that goal.

Congrats on getting so many subscribers mate. For me getting page views is the easiest since my visitors tend to want to refresh the page to see new content all the time.

The title of this post is a little misleading but then again i can see why you have a pagerank 4. Eye catching titles is important to get page views.
How did you do that ? I have a hard time to gat subscribers on my blog , not until I ask a co blogger , did I get one ,pretty smart, of you got many followers that easy

It’s not that hard if you have right intentions, You have to give value to the readers and time will take care of the rest.

I find that for me, it is much easier to get page views, in the beginning it was easy to get subscribers, but I’ve plateaued so to speak on my personal blog, so getting subscribers isn’t easy as it used to be. Oh.. and I would definitely have way more subscribers, if the people actually confirmed their subscription via email! I have like 150-200 subscribers who never verified their subscription!

Wish it was that easy. everyday is a struggle to get new subscribers.. and I agree most do not verfy their email.. I may turn verification off
Frankly speaking, as a newbie in the blogging thing, I really have a problem of getting page views as well as subscribers.
Hopefully, I am learning on this arena.

Isn’t getting the number of subscribers also dependent on the amount of traffic you get generally? As my blog is still in the beginning I got a long way to go until I get those 400 subscribers
