pic of Firefox dragon eating bugsI had a pleasant surprise today to find the Firefox just updated. You can get the latest version, 3.6.2 here: Firefox 3.6.2.

What’s the big deal. None really, mostly just security fixes, and some stability issues. One worth mentioning in regards to stability was that some users were not getting notified that their extensions may need updating after upgrading to 3.6.

My big concern? Does my Twitter Toolbar work? It does.

I love getting new updates, but the only thing that frustrates me is when you update and an Addon/plugin doesn’t work after you update :(

After using 3.6.2 for a few days, I’m not so sure about it being better. It’s been freezing up a lot and I think in their haste to fix the security issues, they might have messed up some other things.

    Till then,

    Jean

  9. I just downloaded it, it is alot quicker, a fast firfox, who’d have thought it :)

  11. I don’t dare post so soon again, but there is already a new version!!! 3.6.3. Security breach!!

  12. Firefox is freezing for me every time I finish a download. Once the download is 100% it freezes for about 15 secs. Frustrating.

I think Firefox abbreviation is Fx or fx.

For the SVG animation, better to use Presto (Opera) and Webkit (Safari, Google Chrome) engines. But, for the MathML, Fx is great. :)

  14. What I want with Firefox 3.6.X is that it doesn’t crash anymore like the older versions :)

  15. we hope new version will be better than last one

  16. I like to use firefox too

  17. Miley says:

If you value low cpu usage.. do not upgrade to latest firefox 3.6.8.. will have your flash stuff using 100% of your cpu threads
