Well, if you are not sick of Comcast already here is there slam dunk deal to join the “I Hate Comcast” bandwagon. They will soon be charging extra if you go over their internet bandwidth limit. Well, as far as I am concerned, they just went over theirs.
Besides denying that they manipulated BitTorrent traffic, and then later saying they had some control, they have now played the “You are using the internet too much” deal. Monthly caps vary from 5 gigabytes to 75 gigabytes depending the subscriber’s plan, but may do a $15 for every 10 gigabytes over the first 250 used in a month. The details are apparently not clearly defined yet. Par for Comcast. It makes it easier to charge whatever they want.
Bye, Bye. I just called AT&T, and will now getting the elite, double the speed plan, for half the price. Who knew?
Why do I hate Comcast? Well, I was Direct TV customer for years, but the Triple Pay, I mean Triple Play package for $99 sounded like a great deal, so I tried it out. It turned into a $300 a month nightmare that required hours of telphones calls. Almost ten hours were put in by my wife to get the bill right, and after still messing it up, took more than five more hours (three more phone calls) to get the serviced cancelled. Also, in regards to proramming, we had Direct TV back in just after the first month. Comcast sucks. No football package by the way. If Comcast said “All services, $1.00″, you would still get a better deal from Direct TV, and other sources. I would bet, better business practices have no part in their business plan.

Seriously? Are they that desperate for cash?
Just last month comcast decided to alter my plan that has been over a year old. Suddenly I got a bill for $145 MORE than I had the previous 11 months.
So I called them on it, told them I was going to drop their services, and they folded, bringing me back to my original plan ( although, “prorated for the month prior to my phone call”… ).
I don’t get how that kind of stuff is legal? Paying for internet should simply be the internet. What’s next? Rollover bandwith??
Very seriously.
