Keeping your site in tune can be a daily battle. When working on this site, a site about web usability, it’s especially difficult. I constantly have to double check everything that I am aware of. I don’t think I would have many requests for an analysis if the site couldn’t pass the basics. Yesterday though, I failed a big one. My contact form didn’t work.

Yesterday morning I noticed my WordPress software needed upgrading so I did it. It appeared everything worked fine, and so I went on to analyze a couple of sites for clients. By the afternoon though, I noticed I had not received one email from my site. What was going on? I decided to check my contact form, and oh no! My form no longer worked. I had upgraded my software, and forgot to check the only form I have. The form was there, but if a new potential client hit that submit button they got the “Don’t use this company” idea, and probably left the site. It’s all fixed now, but I think the item for today should be Check Your Forms!
