Are You Using Socialize on Feedburner?

Looking into my little feed issue I was having with Feedburner yesterday…get my latest post titled “Invoice”? You were not supposed to. Anyhow, looking into it, I found Socialize. Socialize appears to be a new service for Feedburner for posting your feed onto Twitter.

Where Is Socialize?

To find Socialize, simply log into your Feedburner account, go to Publicize, and then go to Socialize. See the screenshot I took below.

What it Does Socialize Do on Feedburner?

It basically posts your tweets. You can include hash tags based on your posts categories, you can additional text, and you are stuck having it post to just one Twitter account. You can add more than one Twitter account, but you must select which one will be active.

It’s basically, an excuse for Google to use their new Goo URL shortening service. It works though, and is easier to set up than a plugin. I especially like the feature of adding hash tags based on categories.

Seems pretty cool, and I am betting the social services will be in the works as well. I expect we will be seeing a lot more of Goo.gl in the future.
