Guest posting is one of the best methods to get exposure to your blog. Every blogger must guest post on other blogs, of the same niche, and which are popular.

What is a guest post?

A guest post is a post which, you as a blogger, will write on another blog. In return you will get a link back and a small bio as credit.

Why should I guest post?

You may be wondering why you should give away a post idea to another blog. The reason is that if that blog is an established one, the readers of that blog will notice your blog and visit it regularly.

Should I give away a good post idea in a guest post or a crappy one?

I believe you should write a guest post as if it were for your blog. Only if you write something good will people want to come over to your blog and subscribe.

Where should I guest post?

You should always try to guest post on a blog much more popular than yours, and remember it has to be in the same niche as yours. If you are writing a guest post on an automotive blog to promote your technology blog, things may not work that well.

How do I guest post?

The best way to ask a blogger if you can guest post n his blog is to simply ask. All bloggers always welcome good guest posts. You can mail him something like this:

Hi Darren,

I have just started a new blog on blogging, The Blogging Park. I would love to guest post on your blog. Would you like me to pick a topic or will you suggest one?

Thanks,

Farrhad A

There will be a point in time where you run out of ideas or are going for a holiday. So you too will need guest posters.

Here are some ways to find guest posters:

  • Contact bloggers
  • Post that you are looking for guest posts on forums of your niche. This will get you many replies.
  • Twitter. One tweet and you can have a guest post ready.

Over to you:
